OVERVIEW
The first generation of the Lancia Delta was created in 1979, and the following year it was chosen “Car of the Year” by the European specialized press. It didn’t take long for Italians to vitaminize this innocent sedan, glorifying it with the HF (High Fidelity) designation. The Delta HF used a two-liter Fiat Twin Cam engine designed by Aurelio Lampredi, boosted by a turbocharger and developing 185 hp.

Two years later, Lancia launched an updated version called Evoluzione to homologate chassis modifications in order to increase the front and rear track for rally competitions. What differentiated the Evoluzione from the previous versions is its bodywork, with huge wheel arches and a remapped engine that produced 210 hp.
Finally, in June 1993, the final version of the Delta HF Integrale 16v was born: the Evoluzione II.Getting behind the wheel of one of these iconic Lancia boosts your adrenaline and automatically turns you into Miki Biasion, Juha Kankkunen, Markku Alen and Didier Auriol.
Under the hood, the Evo 2 featured an updated version of the 2-liter 16-valve turbo engine with timed sequential multipoint injection, self-adjusting injection times, automatic idling control, engine protection depending on the intake air temperature, ignition mapped with two dual output coils, three-way catalyst, pre-catalyst with lambda probe on the turbine output link and a new Garrett turbocharger cooled by water. With this, the power reached 215 hp at 5750 rpm. It accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 220 km/h.
The cabin featured Recaro seats upholstered in beige Alcantara with diagonal stitching and a new MOMO three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel. Its bodywork, with a roof-mounted aerodynamic spoiler, was highlighted by exclusive colors such as “Fine Silver”, “Giallo Ginestra”, “Monza Red”, “Giallo Ferrari”, “Bianco Perla” and “Blu Lagos”. By last, new 16-inch aluminum wheels were fitted with 205/45 ZR 16 tires. Only 2481 units of the Evo II were made.
Its manufacture ceased in 1995 with some limited production versions delivered for that modelyear. This is how it said goodbye to production: muscular, powerful and exclusive.
