Born for Group B
The Ford RS200 was created with one purpose: to compete at the highest level of Group B rallying. Unlike a production car adapted for competition, the RS200 was engineered from the ground up around motorsport.
Mid-engine. All-wheel drive. Lightweight construction. Turbocharged power.
Every element served the same objective: performance at the absolute limit.

One of Only 200
To meet Group B homologation requirements, Ford produced just 200 road-going examples of the RS200.
Its purpose-built architecture made it unlike almost anything else carrying a Ford badge. The compact mid-engine layout, sophisticated four-wheel-drive system, fiberglass composite bodywork and competition-focused engineering made the RS200 one of the most distinctive homologation specials of the era.
This example is Chassis #133, representing a remarkably rare opportunity to own one of those original 200 cars.

Engineering Without Compromise
At the heart of the RS200 is a 1.8-liter turbocharged Cosworth BDT four-cylinder engine, mounted longitudinally behind the cabin.
Power is delivered through an advanced all-wheel-drive system developed specifically for the demands of rally competition. Its unusual drivetrain layout, lightweight construction and exceptionally low center of gravity gave the RS200 the balance, traction and response required for Group B.
In competition specification, the platform was developed to produce dramatically more power, demonstrating just how much performance Ford engineered into the original design.

Designed Around Competition
The RS200 didn't need to look like a rally car. It was designed as one from the beginning.
Its compact proportions, wide stance, large air intakes and functional aerodynamic surfaces were shaped around mechanical requirements rather than convention. Inside, the same philosophy continues: focused, purposeful and unmistakably connected to its competition origins.
It remains one of the clearest examples of what happens when a manufacturer builds the road car around the race car—not the other way around.

Preserved. Driven. Proven.
With just over 10,000 miles, Chassis #133 has been carefully preserved without becoming a static museum piece.
Since joining Squadra Lupo, nearly 2,000 miles have been added through extensive driving and testing.
Rather than simply displaying the car, we have used it as its engineers intended—allowing us to understand it, evaluate it and mechanically sort it through real-world use.
Today, it is preserved, proven and ready to be driven.

Still Driven as Intended
Nearly four decades after its creation, this RS200 continues to do what it was engineered to do: be driven.
In 2026, it took part in the Mille Miglia Experience Florida, completing the event and finishing second in its category.
More than a collector car, it is a living example of Group B engineering—carefully preserved, mechanically sorted, and still capable of delivering the experience Ford originally intended.
Because true preservation means keeping history alive.

Preservation, Squadra Lupo Style
At Squadra Lupo, preservation means more than maintaining appearance.
This RS200 has been extensively driven, inspected, tested and mechanically sorted to ensure that its character remains intact. The objective is never to erase its history or recreate what time has changed unnecessarily.
We preserve what matters, address what is required and keep the car as authentic as possible.
Preserved, not restored.

A Group B Legend Ready for Its Next Chapter
The RS200 represents one of the most ambitious chapters in Ford’s motorsport history—a machine developed when engineering, performance, and competition were pushed to extraordinary limits.
Its mid-engine architecture, advanced all-wheel-drive system, Cosworth turbocharged power, and purpose-built construction make it a direct connection to an era of motorsport that will never be repeated.
Today, this example carries that legacy forward exactly as it should: authentic, mechanically sorted, carefully preserved, and ready to be experienced.
A true Group B icon, preserved for the next generation.

Form Followed Function
The RS200’s distinctive shape was created by Ghia, with its compact body designed around the mechanical demands of competition rather than conventional road-car proportions. Production was equally unconventional, with the composite bodywork assembled by Reliant, a company with extensive experience in fiberglass construction. The result is a design that remains unmistakable decades later—where every proportion reflects the engineering underneath.
Nothing was added simply for appearance. The RS200 looked different because it was built differently.
